  • No Toney-Ruiz in Limeyland

It looks like Don King has priced England out of the market again... he always charges so much, and as boxing isn't that popular over here any more it's not worth the cost. (Why doesn't he cut the cost to make some money, rather than none?)

So the upshot is... no Limeys will be able to see potentially the best h/w bout of the year. Anyone help?

In England we have to count on Sky TV ( the satellite provider ) to screen the fights. Boxing isn`t a popular sport in the UK, however....sometimes the BBC screens the show on sunday nighs, worth a look because they did screen Toney vs Jirov.
Also, sky have been known to replay big fights on their Thursday boxing show ringside...but no live coverage will be available!

Kimmy - I've checked, can't see jack amongst the listings... and you're right, we'll read the result here first even if they do.

Fix - you're right, but if Ruiz gets KTFO that'll be the best h/w bout of the year, won't it?

Ruiz vs. Golota was better than Vitali vs. Willaims, Tyson vs. Williams, and Rahman vs. forgot his name.

Only reason that Ruiz vs Golota was such a great fight to watch was because Ruiz's cornerman, that guy is crazy, it was hilarious. My mom knows allot about boxing and she called me and told me that Ruiz should have been disqualified by round 5 in that fight. She said it was the dirtiest fight in her recent memory. So I guess the corner mans argument with the ref was the entire fight.
