Mosley Next To Sign With De La Hoya?

November 28, 2004 - Rumors have been running rampant throughout boxing circles that former three division champ "Sugar" Shane Mosley could be signing with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions. GBP recently inked undisputed middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins to a promotional contract and annointed him President of the newly founded Golden Boy Promotions East. Word is the Mosley's met with De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer in Las Vegas last night to discuss the possibility of adding Mosley to the the GBP Stable. **********.com placed several calls to Judd Burstein and the Mosley's, none of which have yet to be returned.

man i can't believe some of youz thinks shane only has a couple more fights in him. if oscar goes down to 147 i bet shane will to.thats where the GBP money will be.a shane/mayweather, shane/tszu,or shane/judah would be moneymakers.a shane/ spinx fight doesnt interest me. i think oscar is going to get too busy on the business side and retire after fighting in a sluggfest against someones he can handle.like a vargas or mayorga would be nice.

Well, it'd be easier to sign for a third fight that way.

Mosley for GBP, WOW!!! But whats really left for Mosley? Alot IMO, he lost to Winky 2 times,2nd not as bad, 2 times to forest, maybe a match in a lower weight class would help him, Mosley vs Cotto,Spinks,Zab,Kostya all could happen ,hell even Mayweather

Golden Boy is taking over, period. Give them a couple years and they will be bigger than Arum and King...there is no doubt in my mind!

They have been around for about a week and a half and look what they have...

                    Oscar
                    Bernard
                    MAB
                    maybe Mosley
tons of young talent as well

GBP has done an amazing job and the speed in which they have done it is just as amazing.
