Because Pryor wasn't happy with the money he was being offered, $500,000.

Fights are made in negotiations, but some press conference fans will watch a video of someone "calling out" someone and go "ooooh, he didn't fight him after he was called out, he must be scared".

Pryor was offered half a million dollars to fight Leonard but declined. I remember reading about it but I don't remember why.

Would've been a very interesting fight, though.

Pryor talked about it in the post-fight interview after beating Blackmoore.

There were some threads on it when it was up on youtube, but I think the video has been taken down since then.

Sugar Ray would have beaten him imo but even if Pryor won it wouldn't have been a legit win due to Panama Lewis' special juice.
