top fighters at 147 when he retired were Mayweather, Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, and Williams.

When there's 4 fights between them none of which involve Mayweather...someone's bound to lose, someone's bound to decline from the punishment, and someone's bound to be avoided from the fashion of victories.

It's not psychic....it's common sense. Floyd knew he would get thrown in the mix and wanted no part of it. Why not step aside and let the wolves fight it out and after they all beat each other claim that not losing = same as beating all of them put together.
