Berto is built like a fire hydrant, so I think it's sort of crazy to call him a small WW. He weighs 160 on fight night, which is about the weight that the "big" WWs come in at. When Shawn Porter goes down to WW, he will be another short but big WW.

Andre Berto is a big WW actually. His bulky body makes him look short, but he's taller than Floyd, Clottey, Cotto, and Pacquiao. He's also bigger than Collazo and Margarito despite them being taller. Berto is only a half inch shorter than Mosley and they rehydrate to similar weights on fight night. Berto is far from a small WW.

He couldn't mean that when Berto is 5' 8" and a half. He's taller than all the top5 WW's except for Mosley(who is only a half inch taller than Berto).

Nah. Dawson has him beat for handspeed, easily. All Berto does is throw fast backhands.

Porter is 5 7, same height as Cotto. I would call that a short WW but not Berto, at 5 8 1/2 you're one of the tallest WW in top10 list just behind Margarito(5 11) Mosley(5 9) Collazo(5 9).

JMW the average height is like 5-11 and then it gets slightly bigger as you go up, but not much. The average height at 147 is like 5.8 maybe 9 so he's not short and is very built. That being said, his size won't be a factor at the higher weights because he is fast and quite a big guy anyway, but he will be facing guys that are strong and can take a punch.
