Mayweather-Mosley clash in 2010? + WW Division Questions?!?!?!?
The Welterweight division is currently the hottest division in boxing. With the news of Paul Williams dropping back down to 147lbs in 2010 I began thinking of a series of events that will make the WW Picture clear by the end of 2010. Mayweather, Pacquiao, Mosley, Berto, Williams & maybe even Cotto will be the key players in 2010 in the WW division IMO. They will all make for some great fights.
The first thing I see happening.... Mosley vs Berto
: This fight will no doubt end with Berto being KO'ed. After watching his last performance vs Louis Collazo there is no way I see him handling the speed, power, skill & experience of Shane Mosley. I see this fight going no more than 8 rounds, maybe even less. Berto is just to easy to hit and he has been hurt a few times by lesser opposition. Mosley is on a path of destruction and Berto will be shell shocked
The second thing I see happening... Mayweather vs Pacquiao:
This fight IMO will surprise a lot of people at how easy Mayweather makes this fight look. Mayweather's defense is just too great for Manny to break through. I just don't see how his style of fighting will break Mayweather defense or even be able to be effective against it. In the end Mayweather's boxing skill will be the difference. His hand speed will be the difference, and also his reach, height and physical size will be to his advantage on the night of the fight. One thing people overlook is that Mayweather is PHYSICALLY the stronger fighter as he can fight on the inside and has had no problem muscling around bigger fighters throughout his career. Manny Pacquiao like Roy Jones has relied on his speed/athletic gifts which are phenomenal to say the least. I believe Mayweather will bully the smaller Pac on the inside and on the outside. I see no reason why Mayweather wouldnt be able to walk Pacquiao backwards. I believe this will be the first time that Manny has someone bringing the fight to him.
It took Manny 9 rounds and landing 230 punches of 788 punches thrown to eventually KO David Diaz, It took Manny 12 rounds and landing 336 punches of 780 punches thrown to eventually get the ref to call a halt to the Cotto bout. There is NO WAY I see him landing that many punches on Mayweather to even be able to knock him out. I just don't see how that will be possible with the styles of each fighter. Manny is not a 1 punch KO artist although he did sleep Hatton.....I just think Mayweather's defense is too solid...ALSO Mayweather's accuracy and hand speed will be nothing Pac has ever seen...I see this fight ending with Mayweather by KO/TKO

Will Mayweather & Mosley fight if they both win their respective bouts?
If Mayweather beats Pac will he sit out and wait for another MEGA MONEY BOUT?.....
.....If so will that lead to Shane Mosley fighting Paul Williams to raise their stock up more to land a fight with Mayweather?
If Berto & Pacquiao lose will they fight each other?....
...or will Berto look for a bout vs Cotto and Manny drop back down to 140 lbs where more Mega fights are awaiting him?
If Mayweather beats Pac will he sit out and wait for another MEGA MONEY BOUT?.....
.....If so will that lead to Shane Mosley fighting Paul Williams to raise their stock up more to land a fight with Mayweather?
