Diaz by far. Everyone else at least looked good in parts, but Diaz was thoroughly trounced this year.

      it's either Tony or Jermain

Margartio started out the year in the top 10 pound for pound and he sold out staples center.... that's a huge fall from grace compared to where he is now

and Taylor got beat up pretty badly in his last two fights and those stoppages are probably going to have long term effects

Margacheato by far. He was going in the year as the 1 who was gonna clean up the division. He destroyed the P.R.'s best in Cintron n Cotto n he was going after Mosley n maybe Pac/Floyd. Getting tko by Mosley was the least of his problems after his Plasterfilled wraps hurt not only himself but all of boxing.

I would say Taylor, but at least he went out like a warrior.

          But, I choose Margarito.

Margarito was not only KO'd by an old faded Mosely, he was also disgraced and exposed as a cheater. It puts some of his other wins in question and made this whole "Most feared man on the Planet" thing a total joke, which is what I said from the begining anyway. Dude is a fraud. His whole reputation is built on fights that never happened. Not on who he beat, but on who supposedly "ducked" him.

The ban was only a year, but his career will most likely never recover from this.

I disagree, Margarito in 2008 was a legit number one at 147:
            - he knocked out Cintron twice
            - was the first man to ever beat and stop a prime Cotto
            - had a close fight with 147-154-160 pounds terror Paul Williams.
            - beat Joshua Clottey

If it wasn't for the handwrap controversy, Margarito would still be a legit top 3 Welterweight and not the fraud we know.

I feel Vic Darchiniyan(sp?) was exposed fully this year, the man had a good start on his comeback but once again when he fought a strong, skilled opponent, he lost. It's going to keep happening over and over again IMO.

Thing is though, the hype about him began well before Paul Williams.

Now, perhaps I exaggerated a bit, but still, the man was grossly overrated.

Taylor wasn't in my p4p this year to begin with. I think the B-Hop wins and Winky draw showed us he had and still has skill, but Pavlik showed that his chin was questionable against hard hitters. If he couldn't handle it at mw, why would he at smw. Bigger, stronger opponents just make him work harder then he actually can and he buckled.
