This past week has taken big, unsightly hacks at Pacquiao' legacy. Just like the congressional hearing altered the way people view McGwire.

The only people who view Pac the same after his repeated refusals to accept testing are the most ardent Pac-holes.

Manny just wanted to know when he WON'T be tested....why?

There still people who rank Roy Jones high bro. Holyfield legacy is set as a top 10 HW and somewhere in the top 50 all time. Pac legacy is set bro. First fighter to ever win 4 lineal titles in 4 weight-class, first fighter to win a lineal flyweight title and lineal featherweight title, first fighter to win 7 titles in 7 different divisions. You can not take that away. Just like you can not take away what Holy did or what Jones did.

according to you....i disagree...you can't claim to be the best of your generation when you haven't faced everybody....Mayweather is undefeated and argueable the best in his generation....Sugar Ray Robinson was the best in his generation because he fought everyone, Sugar Ray Leonard fought everyone, Muhammad Ali fought everyone.....pacquiao and mayweather not fighting is like Muhammad Ali and George Foreman never happening....imagine if Ali never agreed to fight Foreman and claimed to be the best in his generation....you get what im tying to say??? this doesn't do neither pacquiao or mayweathers legacy any good....this is damaging to both legacies

Mayweather did not fight everybody either. So don't mentioned Robinson, Leonard, Ali to try to make your point about Floyd. Please do not insult those legends by bringing them in this topic.

Im already saying that people dont like Floyd so his **** dont matter much anyways because there not going to rank him but so high no matter what he does. As for the black fighter ****, you guys can call that racist all you want but if Pac retires without fighting a black or dark skin fighter who is good then that **** dont look right. He couldve fought Floyd, Mosley, Berto, Clottey, Williams, Bradley, Alexander, Judah, Guzman, Campbell, Funeka, Holt, Casamayor, and so on. I know all those guys arent black but thats why I said dark skin also. Stop acting like that **** dont matter. How can a great fighter in this day of age not beat one good black fighter? What about that ledwaba guy? The best supposed black guy at 147 was mosley but cotto beat him. if pac would had beat mosley yall would have been saying "well cotto already beat him why did he not fight cotto." Jones sues BALCO founder, denies steroid use

SAN FRANCISCO — Olympic track champion Marion Jones filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Victor Conte, the steroids dealing suspect at the heart of the sports doping scandal, saying he falsely accused her of using performance-enhancing drugs.

Jones and her attorneys deny the allegations made by Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative founder Conte during interviews in early December with ABC's 20/20 and ESPN The Magazine.

In the interviews, Conte accused Jones of cheating her way to glory by using a designer steroid, human growth hormone, insulin and the endurance-boosting hormone erythropoietin (EPO) before and during the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney, where Jones became the first woman to win five track and field medals in a single Games.

Jones seeks $25 million for potentially lost endorsement money.

Lin Wood, an Atlanta libel attorney, called the suit "a public-relations tactic." If Jones were serious, she also would have sued ABC and ESPN, Wood said; Conte does not have the resources to defend the suit or pay a judgment. Nor is the case likely to decide the issue of Jones' alleged steroids use, he said.

"I don't think you can restore your reputation with a lawsuit that is simply not going to be defended," said Wood, who represents the accuser in the Kobe Bryant **** case and Richard ***ell, falsely accused of the Olympic bombing.

According to the lawsuit, Conte's attorneys early on said Conte never provided steroids to Jones. But in a "sudden about-face," Conte has changed his story to "curry favor with prosecutors," grab the media spotlight and make money, the lawsuit charges.

Conte and three other men, including Barry Bonds' trainer, Greg Anderson, face federal charges of steroid distribution and money laundering. Their trial is expected to start in the spring.

According to the lawsuit and other documents filed with the lawsuit, Jones:

• Never has taken "banned performance-enhancing drugs" and passed 160 drug tests over the last five years, including testing at the 2000 Olympic Games.

• Passed a lie-detector test in June by Ronald Homer, a polygraph examiner and former FBI special agent. Jones answered "no" when asked whether she had ever used performance-enhancing drugs.

• Has not used steroids based on blood and urine tests since 2001 that were analyzed by her doctor, Richard Ferro of the Duke University Medical Center.

Conte, however, won't budge.

In an e-mail statement, he said: "This is nothing more than a PR stunt by a desperate woman, who has regularly used drugs throughout her career. ... I stand by everything I said on the 20/20 special. I am telling the truth, and Marion is lying."

You guys think its ok if he doesnt beat one black or dark skin guy? Im not even hating because I think he would beat alot of them. I would pick Pac against damn near anyone right now but that dont mean he can go without having 1 of them on the resume. He knows he gets the mad hype though for beating the Mexican posse and so on. Look at Bradley now calling him out but he wants to fight Paulie, Foreman, or JMM again. Bradley wants him, Floyd wants him, Alexander wants him, Judah, and both Mosley & Berto. I dont care how good you think his resume is, that **** is incomplete like hell if he retires without Floyd. We all know people dont like Floyd anyways so that **** dont matter. Pac is going to retire as an ATG but everyone will still look back and say that he had the undefeated other P4P #1 guy in his era and he didnt fight him. People will wonder 20 years from now why the fight never came off and the answer will be that Pac didnt want to take a steroids test. How does that **** sound? Then you add in the fact that as good as Pac is and as good as he can be, there is still a ceiling to his legacy. If he beats Floyd then there is no ceiling. People are crazy when they say that this **** is one sided and that Floyd is the only guy who needs it. Pac needs that **** too, e****ally if you add in him never fighting a black guy who was a threat. You cant let history look back and say that he didnt take this fight because he didnt want to take a stringent steroid test, e****ally when his opponent is also an ATG, P4P Champ, who is undefeated, and he agreed to take the same exact test. That **** dont look good looking back, no matter how you spin it
