The parallels between Vargas-Mosley and Hatton-Marquez are fantastic

I just got done watching Vargas-Mosley 1 and the similarities between this fight and what Hatton-Marquez could be like struck me. The situation is so similar. Here me out:

Both fighters are considered a bit past their prime. One is most likely considered a lock for the Hall of fame. The other has a decent chance of making it, but some consider him lacking a huge marquee win. Both of these fighters are winding down their careers and looking for another payday. At the same time both are trying to make themselves relevant again due to shape up the bad losses they've and add another name to their resume.

One fighter is going to another weight class to where he doesn't belong, but for the benefits of the money and adding another name to his ledger, he'll take the risk. The other fighter still isn't that old, but is probably in worse shape then the other. The younger fighter has suffered terrible knockouts. Once known as a great fighter is looking for something he once had.

Now they set to battle each other with so many things on the stake. One fighter wins and regains their stardom. The other one loses and faces the door of retirement.

That is both fights in a nutshell
