I would like to say that I have recently lost all respect for Mayweather fans. However, the truth is that I really didn't have much to lose to begin with, even before this whole fiasco.
I wish these guys would realize how ****** they sound with their constant literary ****sucking of their idol Floyd, but they are far too biased and irrational, not to mention idiotic, to present any sort of argument which does not blatantly amount to one-sided, apologetic nonsense.
Hell, there was a time when I was actually a big fan of Floyd, however he has done nothing but tarnish his legacy in recent years through his antics and actions both inside and outside of the sport of boxing.
As far as his boxing career goes, I have one thing to say: JLC destroyed the frail man's confidence. He has not stepped up to one legitimate challenge since.
At the time of their first fight, JLC was the legitimate LW champion, and I don't give a **** what any of you Floyd cum guzzlers say, Floyd got worked over that night. I'm generally a firm believer that decisions stand (except in rare circumstances such as Augustus-Burton, but that's another story), but suffice to say that I did not agree with the judge's tally on that night. In any case, Castillo gave Floyd a working over that night, and at the very least, came extremely close to handing him a loss.
Now, Floyd certainly gets credit for giving Castillo an immediate rematch, and winning clearly, the second time around. In this light, he deserved the benefit of the doubt for the first fight: everyone has an off night, and the judges had rendered him the victor, after all. He came back and proved he could beat JLC in the second fight.
The problem is that this represents the last legitimate challenge which Floyd has taken in his career.
There's actually one exception of note: Dela Hoya was also a threat, indeed he even carried one scorecard in that fight. The difference is that this fight was all about money, and Floyd had been chasing DLH for years to that point. So perhaps Floyd deserves credit for this fight as well; however, given the amount of money on the table it made sense.
Additionally, there wasn't much basis for the fight aside from money, being that DLH was a JMW and Floyd had never fought at the weight.
This gets into the final point: Floyd is a sideshow fighter. He claims to be the best in boxing, yet he hand picks his opponents; er go he is not a sportsman, he is merely a sideshow. In hand picking his opponents (post JLC), he has in effect picked and chosen his challenges, often opting for the easy rout.
In closing, Mayweather fans can collectively go **** themselvesLast edited by Drunken Cat; 12-26-2009, 11:56 AM.

Good article...
I don't know how anyone can argue against this test. Real boxing fans know that this sport is in dier need of accountability-- this is by far the most corrupt sport in history. We have biased judging, incompetent boxing commissions, corrupt promoters, etc. and yet people will argue against a very good anti- PED's test??? It is obvious that people care more about a individual fighters reputation then they care about the sport.
I commend the Mayweathers for taking this stance and demanding that the USADA conduct the test for the fight. Mayweather is at a bigger risk of being weakened as he will have to cut more weight whereas Pacquiao simply has to stay in shape after the Cotto fight. The USADA has publicly stated that they will only draw about less than one half of one percent of the total blood in the body-- hardly enough to have negative physical effects.
In short they should make the USADA style of random testing mandatory for all fights. That might never happen, but it would be best for boxing and for all sports alike.
Good day!

I don't know about anyone else but my first reaction when i have been accused of cheating or lying is "Ill prove you wrong" If manny is so supset about his character being attacked or being accused of something, the answer is simple. Just do the tests. He's making himself look guilty by making such a big deal. I mean if he would have agreed then we not not have ever even known about this whole drug test thing. He brought himself into this situation by refusing. There must be a really good reason that he won't take these test which alot of athletes (including boxers) have agreed too. Somehow a 'superstition' just doesnt sound like a big enough reason to be accused of cheating and lose out on at least 30 million dollars. TAKE THE TESTS PAC. INSTEAD OF FILING A LAWSUIT WHY DONT YOU PROVE US WRONG!

Do your research before commenting.
USADA has a schedule that is given to them by the athelete for his or her training schedule and events.
Representatives from USADA then shows up unannounced at a location where your schedule indicates the athelete is going to be. If for some reason there is a change in schedule you must notify USADA of your schedule change.
Once the representatives from USADA arrives at the atheletes location the athlete does not have to immediately conduct the test. He or she can finish their work out, finish eating. finish sleeping, finish ***ing, finish taking a ****...you get the picture. As long as the athelete doesn't leave the representatives sight and conducts the test for that day. And the test takes minutes. He or she won't be going through open heart surgery. Pee in the cup and draw a little blood. After that, see ya next time.
So stop making these ridiculous post making is look like they'll be busting Pac's door down in the middle of the night and holding him down like some sci-fi movie with aliens drawing blood from a distraut Manny.
