Why no love for Smokin Joe

In my opinion Frazier is a top 5 hw of all time yet no one gives him his proper due,but Ali a draft dodger is propped up like a hero, why is this there trilogy was basically even, if eddie futch would not have thrown in the towel on joe in the third fight which ali was trying to quit in his own corner would he be look at differently discus.

because Joe frazier is overrated and doesn't have a legacy outside of one man who he has spent the majority of his adult life leeching off of.

Is it really that difficult to understand? Nobody who actually knows boxing would ever call Joe frazier a top five heavyweight.Joe frazier spent his entire career ducking punchers to protect his suspect chin to fight washed up feather fisted boxers like Ali and still ended up getting his backside handed to him.

Joe frazier's record against the best that he ever fought = 1-4

Joe frazier's record against the only punchers that he ever fought = 0-2(knocked down eight times also)

The fact that you had to mention Ali while discussing Joe frazier only proves my point.

I like Joe Frazier, good puncher and I liked his heart. But his time was over early, that's why he ain't ranked that high.

Frazier had a lot of heart, but he couldn't adapt his style effectively to different opponents in the way Ali could. Foreman exposed Joe's limitations in the ring. Joe's win against Ali occurred after Ali's three year period of inactivity, and he wasn't able to pull it off again after Ali regained some of his conditioning in the years that followed.

Joe's desire to win was second to none. He was willing to die in that ring.
