Now Floyd Snr being and expert in the field of training fighters would come under " fair comment and criticsm "

Its very hard to win a defamation case , Pac has no hope in this .

You Pac fanboys are getting flogged in all this debate , your ship is sinking .
precisely! thats why pacman should sue, he has no hope with ******s who is giving false judgement thru opinion which never counts. the court's decision is supreme. the court will decide if the case can push thru not opinions fanboys

defamation per se, with malice involved.

If the case is filed in a state that recognizes "per se" defamation, where the allegations are presumed to cause damage to the plaintiff, the case will roll.

Attacks on a person's professional character or standing are considered per se defamation.

Regarding the "matter of opinion defense," accusing someone of being a lousy boxer is opinion.

Accusing someone of using illegal drugs without valid proof is defamation.

your experience never count for anything under the circumstances even if you go back to school until you are 150 years old. why? first you are not recognized globally as pound for pound fighter, and probably in the future THE GOAT, you are not a 7 titleist in 7 different weight divisions, you are not declared national hero and national treasure by your president, you were never in the cover of TIME magazine, you were never voted one of the most influential person, not the fighter of the decade, you are not a product endorser of big companies producing consumer products such as nike, you can never be any of that so stfu. do you know now the implications of what i just laid out for your simpleton mind? it involves pride, honor and lots of money lost on endorsements and the fight purse. now like i said stfu and let the court decide.

            Floyd Mayweather Sr.:

"I don't think he can beat Lil' Floyd with steroids in him or not." (Grand Rapids Press)

"Man, that guy is on something. There's no way in the world he's going to be walking back a big man like that...I know Floyd is the best, but when your opponent uses something illegal, even the best can get hurt." (Sports Illustrated)

since pacquiao is a public figure, his main task is to establish that the mayweathers had malice in their statements.

            senior's statements are outright libelous.

So again, where did Floyd Mayweather Jr. say MANNY PACQUAIO is on steroids?

Floyd Sr.'s slanderous comments are documented digitally all over the internet (youtube). Since the general public consensus is that Pac is on steroids as a result of Floyd Sr.'s accusations, accusations made "with reckless disregard of whether it was false or not," (actual malice), Pacquiao's professional endeavors will almost certainly be harmed. What makes this case so much different than the Hopkins-Dibella case?

What does Sr have anything to do with "TEAM MAYWEATHER" other than being the father of Floyd?

I've said this before, team Mayweather is requesting not accusing. It's no different than Pac requesting 10 million penalty for being over weight, glove size, ring size, money split, PPV rights etc. It's all a contract and for this kind of money they can do as they please. Mayweather's agreed, why not Pac?

It's not that big of a deal but since Mayweather Jr is involved people become very ******ed.

Anyway, Bad logic about your post because Team Pac is looking at fighting Malignaggi (who said Pac was doing something "fishy").

Contradicting??????? This is the fighter (Malignaggi) himself saying that, NOT his father who has nothing to do with the team.... bad bad bad logic on you!

                    • there are enough statements made from the maywheather side for a legal case. Some say it is strong enough. Some say the evidence is weak. There is enough going around to file a case. Its time for Pacquiao to go on the offensive. The Mayweathers will be forced to go on the defensive. They have been all mouth. When push comes to shove, Mayweather will not have to wait for the commission to require a urine test because he will be peeing in his pants every night just thinking about the millions he will end up spending to defend himself, and millions he will end up having to pay at least in an out of court settlement. And he doesnt have that, right after paying the IRS for back taxes.
