I agree. Floyd also himself has to go through the testing as well.

i don't think it is a big deal. IMO if it was mandatory he would do it no problem. But, I think is more of the mental game and getting the upper hand in the negotiations.

He doesnt want it very close to the fight because he says it affects him what so hard to understand?? And don't give me that "floyd will do the same BS" cause people react to things differently..

And maybe it will set a precedent, and all big fights will have this type of testing. Would that be bad for boxing? Hell no. Cleaning up the sport can never be a bad thing. If someone is cheating, they deserve to be caught, and punished. It's as simple as that. So why is it, then, that it's such a big deal that Floyd wants to make sure that the fight is fought cleanly?

Prior to this whole mess, I did not think Manny took steroids, at all. I appreciated him as a tremendous athlete and boxer, one of the greatest of all-time and a true warrior. But after this, I have to admit some serious doubts popped into my mind, as they would for any reasonable person. If Pacquiao takes and passes the tests, he will put to rest those doubts, forever.

The people shouting "Cheater!" and calling him PacRoid or whatever will no longer have any leg to stand on. This honestly could never be a bad thing for this sport, or any sport.

Truthfully, it will only prove that he wasn't on Roids for this particular fight. We'll never know about the past unless someone finds Ariza's secret milkshake recipe.

Bullsh-t, I wouldn't accept this lame azz excuse either. Maybe the reason he was weak in his first fight with Morales is because of the test he couldn't take his juice like he wanted to.

Stricter testing, especially random tests during training, is better if we really want to catch more fighters using PEDs. It should be required in title fights by the commissions (as opposed to the fighters demanding them). Manny and Roach have objected to blood tests right before the fight, which I agree with, and also don't see the point of anyway. Why take the blood test a day or two before the fight? The drugs are more likely to be in a fighter's system during a random day in training camp, as opposed to the day right before the fight.
