    Heavyweights of Ali's era

Back then there were so many heavyweights that yearned for the heavyweight championship. Real fighters, that were willing to put it all on the line to win the title. There was Frazier, Norton, Ernie Terrell, Floyd Patterson, Foreman, Earnie Shavers....and the list goes on.

I mean what an era. So many top fighters with massive hearts. When I compare that era to todays era it shows that boxings changed. I guess not as many guys from the extreme poverty that them guys came from, so they haven't got as much desire to make it.

    Oh well.

Tex Cobb had a chin that even Margarito would wish for. Cobb took Shaver's bombs round after round and basically tipped him over, Homer Simpson style. :grill:

Don't turn this into another childish thread. I'm trying to get away from the crap and have a nice boxing discussion.

The 70s had the best heavyweights, in my opinion. The fact that Ali beat nearly all of them is amazing.

They all had so much desire to win. Winning the heavyweight championship actually meant something to them. Compare that to some of the pathetic efforts against the klistchko's.
