I don't think so. If Miguel Cotto moved up to LH and started knocking people out left and right everybody would be su****ious. But I will give you this: In his prime, Roy Jones continue to move up in weight classes and be dominant. While he was moving up, nobody was making claims about him using steroids (at least not that I remember). However, I remember watching his fight with John Ruiz and thinking that he was on steroids for sure. When I made the comment to the crowd at the house where I was watching the fight, I almost got kicked out. No doubt Jones used roids during his career (he got caught with andro, but I think he was using other stuff too).

I think he knows what to do but he needs to play his card carefully and make sure to make the right decisions. He's dealing with a different kind of people making him su****ious enough if the other team are serious enough to make the fight.
