pacquiao has to take a drug test

Can someone more knowledgeable on boxing matters please explain why boxing should not have the same drug testing as the Olympians, NFL, Football , or other high profile sports? I understand that MOST boxers come from broken homes, poor backgrounds are uneducated and the true fans come mostly from poor and working class areas, but this is a mega fight. For boxing to hit the mainstream there has got to be proper regulations in place, and always look to improve the existing regulation to stamp out cheats, or to at least just keep the integrity of the sport.

Have a look at this link. Rio Ferdinand missed his random drug test, took it 2 days later, always tested clean but got banned for 8 months.

    Boxing needs this.

He cheated the weight against Marquez and GBP is known to cheat the decision of the judges.

OLympians take blood test but not NFL and MLB.

PAC already agreed to take all the blood test but not the same day of the fight.

Cheating the weight against Marquez wasn't good for Mayweather or boxing. tbh it was a joke, Marquez shouldn't have fought but money speaks . I don't see mayweather dodging anyone tho.

Where is the contention then? If Pac agreed to random drug tests up to 24 hours before the fight and straight after. Where is the issue>?

I believe this should be standard for every boxing match.

Arum said he believed the USADA was "compromised" because of their relationship with Golden Boy and proposed that the Kansas City-based National Center for Drug Free Sport -- an agency that has been used by the NFL, NBA and MLB -- be charged with testing before the fight. That agency, Arum said, would limit the number of blood tests -- including no tests within 30 days of the event -- while being free to conduct urine tests at any time.

the issue is US drug agency won't change their policy.

I don’t know anything about performing enhancing drugs. No testing 30 days before the fight seems too long? Has Pac, Arum, and Roach got something to hide?

For boxing this needs to be settled and set as precedence for all boxing. We need to stamp out cheats and have suspected cheats exonerated.

Look what RJJ is saying about Green’s gloves this needs to be stamped out.
