Andre Berto: Have people thought what would happen if he wins?

Surely a win over the great Shane Mosley will be the biggest win of Berto's career. Though he's an underdog in this fight some fans like the upset. The question is will a win over Mosley make him a huge star and get him some superfights? What's next for Berto if he manages to pull off the upset? Will he have enough drawing power to land a fight with the winner of Pacquiao vs Mayweather? I can maybe see Pacquiao fighting Berto but can you really picture Mayweather? Perhaps a rematch with Mosley if the fight is close? Paul Williams is an option but then again he's always an option. Miguel Cotto is looking for a June opponent. Who is Berto more than likely to fight if he beats Mosley. Everybody says the winner of Pacquiao/Mayweather will fight the winner of Mosley/Berto but when people say that I think they're assuming a Mosley win.

I try not to think about it. Don't ask me why, I just don't like the dude. Beating Mosley won't make him a star, but it should set him up for some nice paydays in the future, being that he is beatable.

that outcome has never ocurred to me. Berto has the air of a spoiled brat for some reason. Not too much but just a touch of I'm the annointed one. I don't think it will be his day against Mosley.

I think there's a very real chance he does win, and TBH I think both Mayweather and Pacquiao would be happy to take his straps off him.

It's better for boxing if he wins, and i hope he does. I just don't think he can since in my opinion the much lesser fighter in Collazo beat him, and by a good margin.

His belts make him huge target. Just not sure if he's a big enough name for Mayweather or Pacquiao to want to get in the ring with, especially Mayweather who only wants the most lucrative fights.

IDK about Berto being a spoiled brat. HBO has been building him up, but apart from his recent smack talk against Mosley, the guy has largely been a gentleman in his fights. If he wins, he should be given a chance to fight Pac or Mayweather. I don't like his chances against both, though. TBH, I still think he's too green to take on Shane, but I give him props for stepping up to the plate.

tbh its about time since his win over collazo hes been fighting blown up LWW's and fighters that had next to no chance against him.

imo he needs to think about beating the likes of clottey or cotto before he takes on pacman and pbf.

it has actually occurred to me that berto could win his fight against SSM. why? well imo margarito was tailor made for SSM to land his big shots on and put his power boxing on display. but people forget how bad he looked just a few months beforehand against mayorga.

SSM is one of my favourite fighters (and imo his resume doesn't do him justics) but i think fat lady is warming up for ssm's career. he doesn't have a style like hopkins or mayweather which will allow him to grow old and still be effective in the squared circle. i can see him taking alot of punches against the berto, quickest fighter hes fought in a long time and people forget how sometimes a fighter can just grow old overnight - tarver being a very good recent example.
