The FW picture is looking good.

So with all the talk about the same ol' same ol' I just thought I would mention the FW scene and what I like aboot it. Well it seems that the powers that be are hell bent of setting up this Gamboa/JuanMa fight. So we have Gamboa vs Mtagwa and Luevano vs JuanMa.
Now I really thought Luevano had a chance of out pointing JuanMa until I found out the fight was in the PR colony known as NY. If its a close fight Steven just won't get the nod and he only has like 15kos in 38 fights so I doubt he is stopping JuanMa.
Right now though the man at 126 is Chris John, now no matter who wins the JuanMa/Gamboa fight I think their reward is to be taken to the cleaners by The Dragon. He is just that good and I think one of the top 5 most skilled boxers in the world across all weight classes.
Caba is moving up too from what I hear, I don't think he is great really but pretty good and with his size at FW is a tough fight for anyone.
This brings us to Rigondeaux, this guy though lacking on offensive minded demeanor might be able to beat anyone in the SBW-FW classes. even though he only has a few pro fights is very seasoned and could compete on the world class level with anyone especially an offensive fighter like Juarez for Ex......I think he will wear a world title before his 15th pro fight.......any thoughts or opinions on the FW division?

Along with 140 and 147 its my favourite division in boxing

Vasquez, Marquez ( Can't wait for that fight ) John, Luevano, Juanma ( Huge fan of Juanma ), Gamboa, Caba, Rigondeaux ( Floyd Mayweather 2.0 )

    I can't wait for 2010, specifically the rise of Rigo, Yuri-Juanma and Rafa-Izzy 4

See i didn't include Izzy and Rafa because I view this 4th fight as a farewell fight for both as I doubt either have any serious plans to fights for titles against JuanMa, John, or Caba.

If Rafa wins i'm sure there will be a 5th fight

I can see them fighting on for another couple of years, i just don't fancy their chances against the younger fresher fighters in the division

Yes they took way too much out of each other.....no matter who wins I hope they both retire....no need for them to get hurt, I know they are not that old age wise but in boxing years as far as miles on the odometer they are ancient.

Featherweight could become quite interesting next year, you got guys at or neat their primes in John, Juarez, Lopez, Luevano, Gamboa, Elio Rojas and Santiago then you got the veterans who may be heading out soon in Marquez and Vazquez. Got the wild card in Cristobal Cruz. Caballero might move up next year to chase the big fights. It's a division worth watching for sure.
