    June 19th Reserved For Pascal-Dawson

    - June 19th is the target date to match WBC lt. heavyweight champion, Jean Pascal, against Chad Dawson, who is the interim champion. This match-up would most likely take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Representatives for both fighters will be meeting at the beginning of the new year, I’ve been informed. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-lead/a-look-ahead

Looking forward to this one, Pascal couldn't be in a bad fight even if Dawson tried. Dawson KO10.

Why is Chad Dawson wasting away 6 months until he fights again? **** he could fight in early march and then in June again.

Dawson seems to be just like Clottey, they don't want to fight unless good money is put up. I don't even think Dawson would take a stay busy fight if it weren't for million+.

That's if Pascal is fully recovered by June. Pascal is having surgery on a dislocated shoulder and a broken collar bone.

He has very little options right now. Dawson probably doesn't want to fight Tavoris Cloud because he's IBF champion. Glen Johnson is fighting Yusaf Mack for the IBF eliminator if Dawson were to beat Cloud, he could possibly fight Glen Johnson for a third time.

Dawson's best bet is to fight Juergen Braehmer for the WBO belt or Gabriel Campillo for the WBA belt. Dawson should have no problems with the European belt holders.
