it;s true that JR will not fight if Pac does not agree...problem is what else would Pac have to agree upon? JR will not stop there. and when they say random testing that means anytime they want to do it, does not mean that if Pac gets his blood drawn JR will have it done the same day too..Hello that's why they call it random!!! So stop talking like you guys are medical experts...'coz your not!!! let me draw your blood more than 3 time in 3months and then tell me how you'll feel!!

How do you walk away from a fight where you can earn up to $40 million? That raises some question marks. It gives me the impression that someone has something to hide.If Manny refuses the testing,a serious investigation should take place for his last few fights.
It's called, "Not Caving In to a bunch of lunatics." Mayweather is indeed turning this fight into a CIRCUS. He's never been afraid of anyone until now. He has never ask for such ridiculous testing in the past. He's been arrogant in saying that Pacquiao can be easily beaten. Ya, right! Where's Mr. "Big-Balls" Mayweather now? If Pacman is that easy, then he shouldn't be at all worried whether Manny is on steroids or not. You see, Floyd is putting his foot into his mouth and it will backfire on him. No one, I repeat, no one will be interested in seeing him fight ever again if he blows this fight with the Pacman. JAT

I couldn't have said it better. I am thinking Floyd is the one that looks rip. This whole situation is blown out of proportion, because Floyd Sr. has mesmerize everybody heads and even got his own son scared and doubtful to get in the ring with this non-fearing beast.

plus he says i will do it before and after the fight??? so what is it?? scared of needles or not???

urine test can be beat i know alot of people on probation that do weekly urine test and smoke weed and still pass!! they clean or flush their system the night before!!

whoever says no to this test has something to hide!!!
I researhed this one from ADR (Anti-Doping Research) surprisingly by a certain Dr. Hatton, hehehe... Caroline K. Hatton, PHD to be exact.

Athletes who enter sports competitions agree to follow the rules—including antidoping rules, from being subjected to doping-control tests to accepting the consequences of a positive test. Athletes selected for a test identify themselves before they urinate in a cup, under direct observation by an official of the same gender. Next, the urine is poured into a pair of bottles, A and B, labeled only with numbers and the bottles are sealed. Only the sport organization—not the laboratory—knows which number corresponds to which athlete. Chain of custody paperwork documents who has custody of the samples or where they are locked up, from the moment the bottles are sealed, to their receipt at the lab, to the day when they are finally discarded.

Blood is rarely collected in the major United States sports drug testing programs. At the Olympics, blood is collected, but not as often as urine. For example, at the 2004 Athens Olympics, the laboratory received 2926 urine samples and 691 blood samples [5]. Some federations, such as Union Cycliste Internationale, collect blood before races for health tests (not doping-control tests), and athletes with atypical values deemed medically unsafe (eg, high hematocrit) are not allowed to compete.

Testing urine is better than testing blood for most prohibited substances (small molecules, molecular weight less than ~800 atomic mass units). Urine collection is noninvasive and yields a large volume of sample, with higher drug concentrations than in blood and with far fewer cells and proteins to complicate extraction.

I can't believe how some of you guys are saying Team Mayweather is
scared of Pacquiao and that's why he is trying to make this test happen
to get out of the fight? That is the most MORONIC thing to be thinking
or saying, sheeeeesh! What Ellerbe is doing is called handling your
business and protecting your investment which is very common in the
world of business (Too bad Cotto didn't have an advisor like that).
How can Mayweather be scared to fight Pacquiao when all Manny has
to do is agree and the fight is on? The ball is in Manny's court and it is
him who is actually scared and supposedly "NEEDLES" at that? How can
a man who puts his fear and faith in GOD be worried about needles, giving
blood and superstitions? Floyd will be going through the same form of
testing so how will it handicap Nanny? If this was a crime committed
and police was looking for a suspect, Nanny would be the prime one.
This guy just moved up and beat the hell out of one of the strongest
guys at 147 (Excuse me 145) and now he is scared to give blood?
Top Rank said he would agree but only if they can stipulate when the
test are done? What's the point then? If this fight doesn't happen
it's because of Nanny not Floyd. For people to continuously say
that this is Floyd's way out are IDIOTS and didn't deserve to graduate
public school. Bob Arum, Freddie Roach and Nanny Pacquiao have been
pulling the wool over the eyes of many and now they hit a brick wall
with a fighter who is about his business. 40MIL on the table and Nanny
is willing to walk away all because of random blood testing? PLEASE.

How come it's ok for Manny to ask for 10Mil for each pound over 147
but not ok for Floyd to ask for random blood testing? 10Mil is a whole
lot more to lose than a few drops of blood every now and then. You
guys hate Mayweather so much to the point it done blinded you.
Talking about "Nanny might be weak when he gives blood" BULL****
Cotto had to come down to 145 and couldn't weigh a pound over that
and to me that weakens you more than giving some blood. I'm glad
Floyd is on top of his business and not letting Roach, Arum and Nanny
call the shots. If this fight doesn't happen it is because of Nanny.
