Who ALREADY KNEW about Pacquiao's "Needle Phobia" before these negotiations??..

those with tattoos don't mean they aren't scared of needles. their two different emotions that run while those situations are coming into play. i'm guessing your under 18 and don't have a tat. i know a bunch of people that have tats that are scared to get their blood drawn and get squemish when it comes to getting blood drawn.
so u think that pac shouldnt have to go threw random drug testing??even tho floyd will be to?? u think a teaspoon of blood is a well enuff reason to say the hell with the fight and random drug tests?? just curiousComment

I just got blood drawn last month..and my 3 yr old son did too back in Oct. and he doesn't even cry when he gets shots or blood drawn anymore..unless he gets a shot on his butt..he still sheds a few..Comment

People idolize too much, every boxer who gets caught cheating should get a life ban, boxing is not soccer or baseball, once they collapse its either death or life long brain dissability...how many good people did lose their life in the ring just in the last 5 years.Comment

Ok..this will be my last thread on the subject..(I think)..lol
I've never heard about Pacquiao being afraid of needles or them making him squeamish even..am I the only one?
So I'm seeing Arum, Roach, and *******s claiming that Mayweather did this to sort of "Duck" the fight...now I'm almost positive that Mayweather had NO FUCKIN IDEA about this lil phobia that Pacquiao has now all of a sudden..
So how is this a "tactic" from team Mayweather?..how was this planned like if it were obvious that Pacquiao was superstitious?..simple..it wasn't!..
Pacquiao has been rising in these weight classes and outclassing the naturally much bigger men and taking shots like he's getting hit with Sock em' boppers..now I'm not saying it's not possible..but Sr. mentioned it before the negotiations and even before the Cotto fight..and he has the right to speculate and doubt just like anyone else..
Now that this situation comes out..team Pacquiao refuse the random tests and claim that it weakens him and that he's superstitious and now that he's afraid of needles (which is it?!)...yet Mayweather would undergo the same testing..so they'd be on even terms..so how is this a mind game if Mayweather more than likely had no clue about Pacquiao's needle situation??.
Now I think I may be the closest thing to a medical expert on boxingscene(1.5 yrs til I get my M.D.) and to me all this "blood draws draining a well conditioned athlete" is total BS and it angers me that they use it as a legit excuse to sidestep stronger and more sensitive/specific drug testing.Comment

In the morales rematch it was mentioned as a reason he lost to Morales. So the info was out there but I thought then that it was suspect that getting blood drawn drains you enough to lose a fight. And so consequently they avoided another blood test. Hmm!

In the 24/7 vs Ricky Hatton ... when he went to get his check up i remember him making a comment to the doctor about how he didn't like the needles ... and the doctor responded no needles necessary it's just a routine check up (they were checking eyes and other things to make sure he was good to go) ... thats the only time i remember Pac saying something ... although it's not something you hold a press conference about to inform people randomlyComment

There was a news report on here (good luck finding it amongst the billion threads), but it made it seem (at least to me) that Pacquiao was not concerned so much with the needle than the fact that, in his mind, taking blood from him will somehow **** him up because the last time they took blood from him before a fight (against Morales), he lost.
He's being superstitious the same way any athelete who is superstitious, like always putting on one shoe before the other and the thousand other rituals athletes do before they compete.
Losing the actual blood might not physically hinder him, but it seems like it will definitely affect his mental. And boxing is mostly mental, as some trainers like to point out.Comment

Travis Tygart, chief executive of the United States Anti-Doping Agency, said a blood test can allow testers to detect use of energy-boosting synthetic EPO, human growth hormone and "a number of potent performance-enhancers not detectable in urine. . . . With a [30-day] window like that, you could dope to the gills and get away with it."
