He would knock Spinks and Margarito out IMO. They would stop the Margarito fight on cuts, or just from taking a beating.

I think that Margarito would really destroy Mosley right now. I think that Mosley takes Spinks and could beat Judah in a close fight. Against Margarito, it would be suicide. He would probably be dominated worse than when he faced Wright.

Mosely looked o.k. considering he hasnt fought at 147 for about 3 years i beleive..I could be wrong..He isnt the same fighter that fought DLH and Forest..he hasnt been the same since the 1st Forest loss..but I still think he can beat Margarito/Spinks..now Judah might take him..Even though Judahs chin does not convince me..but his speed and left hand can give Mosely hell right now...But I wouldnt count Mosely out..lets see what his does his next fight..

I like Mosley much more then I do Margarito, but that being said- if they fought Sugar Shane would probably get worked. Margarito is a solid puncher with a high work rate, and Shane's defense of late has not been that great. I would probably pick Judah AND Margarito to win by KO over the Shane of today.

I cant see Margarito Ko'ing Shane..Shane has a very good chin. Judah possibly but I dont think Margarito got the pop to KO Shane. The work ethic in the ring yes Margorito just dont stop coming..but if Shane Loads up on his punches..and Hooks to the Body..Margarito might feel something..Shane can **** if you let him..he had trouble with Winky and Forest becuase of the size difference but Margarito is not as big and as tall as Winky or Forest

Please people. This is ridiculous. Margarito is a decent fighter, but no Shane Mosley. Shane if 50% would win a decision, and 100% knock his ass out cold. The same people who were saying Margarito is god.....were picking Cintron yesterday. Judah????? wtf. Shane would take his lunch. He hits five times as hard, is faster, better handspeed, better level of opposition fought in the past etc etc.

Mosley had trouble with arguably the best pure boxers around.

Shane has not shown power since he was fighting at lightweight! And not only that but we saw him getting caught with punches from Estrada that he should never have been hit with. Is Margarito the best welterweight in that division? No. Is he even underated as he likes to claim? No. Could he beat Zab Judah? No. But would he be able to beat Mosley right now? Yes. Shane has not looked impressive since his FIRST fight with Oscar. And that **** was YEARS ago! Mosley did not impress me too much, he took care of bussiness but Estrada was far from the elite of the divion. The guy lost to Ishe Smith (in what was Smith's 14'th pro fight) like four fights before! Shane did what he needed to, but was not stellar. Give him another couple fights at welter to get his sea-legs back and maybe he could beat Margarito. But RIGHT NOW, Margarito is the better fighter, and Judah is the better fighter until he retires.

NOTE: Paul Williams is gonna be making some noise real soon, he is strong, tall and stays busy. A tough fight for whatever welter steps up and takes him on.

Did you see Mosley getting tagged by the inexperienced Estrada? If that would of been Margarito in the ring last night with Mosley he would of been beaten soundly. Mosley's speed wasn't all that great either and his power hasn't been all that great at 147 to say he would knock Margarito out. Margarito is 10x better than Estrada.

At the very least you cannot rank people based on potential, you have to do it based on accomplishments. And the bottom line is that Mosley after one fight at 147 does not deserve the #1 spot yet, that is really the issue of the thread and we kind have gotten side tracked...
