Fight was off for both Hatton-DLH/Pacquiao

Both Hatton vs Pacquiao and De La Hoya vs Pacquiao were completely off and done for.

At one point after the Hatton-Pacquiao fight was "off", Arum seriously made moves for a Humberto Soto vs Manny Pacquiao fight.

Remember Pacquiao refused 50-50 with Hatton and to finally make the highly anticipated fight happen, Arum had to give Pacquiao extra money from his own pocket in order to make Pacquiao happy and agree to fight Hatton.

The De La Hoya fight was also off because Pacquiao was asking for a larger purse split than Mayweather got against DLH. DLH's problem was that he did not want to give more money to Pacquiao than he gave to Mayweather(70-30). De La Hoya even wanted to fight Paul Williams at 154 if the Pacquiao fight did not happen(I guess as a ploy).

I bring all of this up because it seems to be the norm lately. Excluding the Cotto negotiations of course because he is in Top Rank too but let's not forget that the fight was almost off too because of Roach's demands of a 143 catchweight. It's normal for Pacquiao negotiations to seem completely off and ready to move to another fight but at the end of the day they still get the fight made some how. So boxing fans should be more patient about situation.

The Cotto fight was off too.. Remember when they couldn't come to terms over putting the title on the line and for a split second Pac's ppl looked toward a possible SMM fight? Cotto said that either Pac fight at 147 or 145 w/o the title.. Things got smoothed over just like they will here.

Yeah thanks for bringing this up. You're right.

Pacquiao is a tough cookie to negotiate with or whoever is who handles Pacquiao negotiations I know it's not all Arum.

Cause Pacquiao has a bunch of *******s trying to negotiate and give their imput... Koncz, his lawyer, Roach, and who no who else he has a milion people around him... That why Schaeffar even said yesterday, "i dont even think Pacquiao is aware of the situation"...

I'm starting to think this too. Pacquiao camp is making him look bad in the publics eyes. I'm sure he would agree to everything and fight tomorrow if it was up to him. Same with Floyd Mayweather Jr, I think it was Floyd sr and Ellerbe who pushed for this Olympic drug testing stuff. If it was up to the fighters themselves they would do this tomorrow imo.

Fight will happen no doubt in my mind, this is all mind games/promotion.

Expect the press conference to be a go the first week of the January, this is just Arum acting out like a 70 year old baby in depends.
