Tune into Sportscenter tonight (12/23/09) at 6:18PM EST For an update on May-Pac -DAN

    Dan Rafael (2:48 PM)

Here we go again. Arum on the Bat Phone.

    Dan Rafael (2:50 PM)

Bob is saying they will agree to three tests and wants to use the agencies that deal with MLB or NBA, etc...

    Dan Rafael (2:59 PM)

Bob says they want to keep the fight on track but that Manny will not do it via the USADA. They want to do it like the NFL and NBA and use their protocal. I think this fight will be saved. Also, I'll have an update on SportsCenter at approximately 6:18 pm ET.

Wow, so Manny's camp want to choose the anti-doping agency as well?

Well any 3rd party should work for testing aslong as they are competent and I assume an entity that worked with those professional leagues would be on the up and up.

I am sure there are differences between USADA and that agency but I am sure that would involve a lot of technical jargon that no one here would understand, I would think USADA would be the strictest but if both sides agree I am sure everything would be just fine.

I hope all this **** gets put to bed though so we can actually get back to what little boxing discussion we normally have here instead of the medical/PED/doping discussion.

Wishful thinking. If Pacquiao pulls out of this fight for refusing the testing he will look very bad and the su****ions will grow. The media will pounce on it. You can sign my name to that.

USADA is random tests at anytime all the way up to fight night.

The protocol of the agencies that deal with professional leagues are probably used to dealing with athletes and their training regimens.
