For the umpteenth time, Pac is not afraid of needles BUT, he's the most superstitious boxer I've ever seen. The last time they took blood from him days before his fight, he lost (Morales 1).

If you were a Filipino, I'm sure you'll get to understand what superstitious beliefs means to the Pinoys, it's like a be all, end all to them, specially the athletes and gamblers. I'm sure you all know the other superstitious stuffs that Pacman religiously follows pre-fight ritual like he never fly to Vegas for his fight, instead, he rides the same SUV to Vegas, while his hangers-on rides the Pacman bus. He stays in the same room in Mandalay Bay every time leading up to his fight. He makes sure he kisses his rosary around his neck after Buboy takes it off of him. Some other superstitious beliefs for Pacman is he always kicks the lower ropes and makes a sign of the Cross just before the bell rings in the 1st round. His lunch or dinner superstitious beliefs when he has an up-and-coming fight is even more thorough and meticulous.

Here's also one thing that Pac avoids at all cost. He will never let his gloves be underneath the opponent's gloves when they touch gloves, never EVER.

At the end of the day, it's just a pissing contest for both fighters. I'm sure this fight will get itself made after the thought of how they will divvy up the money they will make hits them in the head like a boulder coming from above...

Its amazing that people here are actually defending Pac, not taking the tests. Would anyone here turn down 30 m because they dont want to give 4 teaspoons of blood?

Superstitions is not a BS to Filipinos, specially athletes and gamblers, trust me, but I do agree that boxing should use the Olympic style random drug test for the betterment of the sport from now on...

Just to set things straight and before this **** gets out of hand, Pac agreed to take the test before and after the fight, but not days before fight night, or at least 3 days before the fight, as per Roach's compromise. They can raise Pac's right hand if he emerged victorious while his left hand is holding a bottle for his piss and while drawing blood from his left arm too, all at the same time, there will be no difference whatsoever. As for Pacquiao, he must just be laughing this whole thing off, letting Roach do the pissing contest for him...

What does being from Africa have to do with Filipino superstitions?
