    Wladimir's showing

What did you see in Wladimir in this fight? Personally, I think he is on his way to becoming the Wlad of three or four years ago. Before you start calling me delusional or any other crap, read carefully. I will say what I liked about his performance.

    1. He showed patience and composure. Yes, I know that Castillo was absolutely afraid and frozen but still, Wladimir was trying to pace himself.

    2. He looked more athletic overall if you compare this fight to his fights against Brewster and Williamson.

    3. His left hand was getting the job done. The jab was constantly scoring, as well as the hook. The jab also kept Castillo confused and on the outside the whole four rounds.

    4. His stance looked normal because he stood straight. If you check his fight with Brewster, you will see him fighting small. Well, I thought he looked like Quasimodo at times. His stance for his fight with Castillo was similar to his stance of old.

    5. He was not trying that ****** holding technique that he tried against Brewster and that really made him look ridiculous. I mean he was clinching when he was dominating the bout. What? It was like clinching just to show that he could clinch.

All in all, I think this was the best he has looked since the loss to Corrie Sanders.

I just watched it and I wasn't impressed at all. He was in there against someone who put not pressure on him at all. It was about as stunning a victory as Big Klit had against Kirk "The Pillsbury Homeboy" Johnson.

The most interesting thing was the stoppage. I have to agree that it was a tad premature. Larry Merchant said it was a mercy killing because Castillo wasn't fighting and wobbled back to his corner. What I saw was Castillo bouncing on his toes as he turned to face the ref and get his gloves cleaned. I was thinking that perhaps, because of the long camera and the ref partially blocking I might not have seen it right, but, again insterestingly, there was no replay. The first time I can ever remember not seeing a replay on a KO win.

                hmm

                1) They did replay it (the TKO), just not right away.

                2) Klitschko looked good but Castillo is a light hitter who could not even hurt Moorer. This is not the performance to judge him on. He is good vs slick boxers with minimal power. The question is can he b good vs pressure fighters with good size and power.

Well I'm not saying I'm sold yet, this was the best that Wlad has looked in a long time, and I agree with your analysis.
