You're right. PAC should not be affected by the small amount of blood that will be used for these tests. He can even do a tiny blood draw 24 hrs before the fight and he would be just fine. I'm sure PAC is clean and should have no problems complying to these demands from the Money camp. I'd say, if PAC is afraid of blood or needles, then someone should just draw his blood while he is asleep. He might just think it is a mosquito bite. But to be fair to PAC, he should make equal demands to Money for this fight as well (ring size, glove size, weight limit, penalty amounts, etc.).It doesn't weaken you. It's already been explained that,
"Tygart noted Olympic athletes are tested often and without notice. He said less than a teaspoon of blood is removed out of an average of 380 teaspoons in the normal human and that it regenerates within an hour of being withdrawn.
Blood tests, he said, can find things urine tests can’t, like the use of human growth hormone, synthetic hemoglobin or blood transfusions, all of which “certainly would aid in an endurance-type event.”
Manny isn't giving blood to save the life of someone in an accident. It's less than a teaspoon! THE END.
I've given more blood than that, then ran 90 minutes, and gotten my ribs beat in for an hour in Frazier's boxing gym. Obviously by my appearance here, I am not the P4P King that Pacman is, but really- someone on his level is not going to be "weakened by giving blood". If anyone here stepped in a boxing gym, much less an actual gym, or got up off of their couches, you'd know something about physical training and the human body. There are differences in having blood taken. This test would do nothing to harm either fighter.Comment

If the testing is random, is it random for both fighters, or is it random as in 1 fighter at a specific time be tested while the other doesnt get tested?Comment

Im wit you on that one man, lets hope he takes the test OR give the best excuse to see if it would make any sense. Man if this dont happen, i feel sorry for Cotto, he has gotten so much bad luck and the beating in them.Comment

Come on man thats just bull **** and if your really buying this think of the can of worms your opening. Now fighters are going to make excuse base on rituals. So if Manny loses its because of rituals. That's even a weaker excuse then Cotto stans have made. I thought the Cotto stans were bad, but the Pac fans are now showing their true colors.Comment

Travis Tygart, executive director of the USADA, said he had talked to representatives of both fighters about providing testing. Tygart said he welcomed the request as he would for any sport that does not have stringent Olympic-type testing.
"I think every sport that wants to have clean athletes it's a sign of a step forward to have out of competition testing," Tygart said. "It's an essential thing to do if you want to protect the integrity of the sport. Clean athletes want a level playing field."
