I'm a huge fan of Mosley, perhaps it's because hes a nice guy? He didn't boast and capitalize on the Oscar fights, after he fought Oscar he faced guys who the casual fan didn't know like Forrest etc.

Maybe it's because he never built that home fan base, he's from California and (from what I hear and read) the majority support the Mexican fighters.

This is just guess word could be any number of reasons

I feel honestly that if floyd is ur idea of the best Black American fighter,then he will have to take up most of ur boxing agenda,with defending him,from the why he ducks & ****!!Because like I always say"look very closely at Mosley's resume",that thing is full of the best fighters of the last 20 years!!Yeah he lost to Winky & Forrest but look at 147 right now,there isn't a fighter there,that can beat either,right now!!A prime Forrest at 147 son's floyd all day!!Winky beats floyd at his own game of defense at 154 easily!!Mosley as far as 147 is concerned is the best for about 15 years,true story!!

It's a weird case, he has all the tools to be a world-wide star, but he's not.

Not that I agree but just mention a few possible reasons:
*He's not a character. Well I meant, his personality doesn't say much.

*Never matched against washed-ups big names like everyone else do, like Oscar:Chavez,Leija,Hernandez. Hatton:Castillo,Tzyu(not exactly washed-up, but out of his prime).

*Didn't take advantage of the Oscar fight and being #1p4p, he fought people no one wanted to fight.

*Beat Vargas and Mayorga when they were washed-up and already beaten by Oscar and Tito.

*His last chance was his career re-defining victory over Margarito but instead of taking advantage, he waited for Mayweather and Pac the whole year and didn't fight, he should've fought someone like P.Williams or Berto in 2009.
