Everyone should realize by now that the catchweight was to gain a mental advantage. How many times have I posted this already? Shawn Porter was the first to suggest it; the reason wasn't to gain a physical advantage and drain Cotto.

Roach knows what he's doing, that's exactly why he isn't giving in to head games from the Mayweather camp. He's aware of why they're doing this because he is a good strategist himself.

Well what I got from this is Ellerbe wants 24 hours before the fight as the cap for random Blood testing

Roach said he would do 72 hours before as the cap..

I wouldn't be surprised if they settled on something like 48 hours. Or maybe the Mayweather camp will give in to 72.

Either way, this issue won't stop the fight.

Don't athletes using steroids go on their off cycle 3 weeks before a fight, so the drugs have a chance to leave their system? Also Floyd will be taking the exact same tests so what is the problem?

With this arguement, even if they are only allowed 2days of blood testing, just make the first test in the middle of training camp then the 2nd the day after the fight. So is there problem there now?

and of course Cotto's gonna say that..he did what he had to do for the right $$$..Pacquiao wouldn't have fought Cotto at 147lbs..and Cotto probably wouldn't have had another opportunity at that kind of money..so he took it..Boxing is Business..and Roach knew Cotto could make 145lbs but it's a mental struggle knowing that's your limit..much different when your limit is 147 and you come in at 146..
"Its no concern of mine whether it is 145 pounds or not," Cotto said.

"That is the usual weight that we cut down to for the weigh in, and in the ring—on fight night—I will go up eight to 10 pounds, so actually during the fight I will weigh around 155," stated Cotto.

I love how the nuhuggers make excuses yet Cotto himself doesn't.
