Carnivore's explanation for that would probably be that Williams has a long reach. He seems to give reach more value than weight, which is absurd. Williams may have problems making 147 now but I think he could still make 154. Just because he is tall and long doesn't mean he can effortlessly jump up to 175 or something. He is a pretty slim guy.

Because Williams is an overrated hypejob who picks on much smaller fighters. He has a heavyweight frame (6'3 82" reach), longer reach than the Klitschko Brothers (Wlad 81", Vitali 80") and he's picking on little men at 147 and 154...Pathetic. Williams needs to grow some balls, move up and fight someone his own size. Bute is looking for an April 17 opponent on HBO. Williams should step up and take the fight.

williams should fight at the lowest weight he can make, no reason to move up if he doesnt need to. reach and height isnt the only thing you look at when deciding what weight someone should fight at. williams does have a large frame, and in time will be able to move up in weight. but he shouldnt do it until he fills into his body frame naturally.
