WBA interim-super flyweight champion Nonito Donaire hired Robert Garcia to be his trainer. The announcement was made at the Pinoy Power 3 press conference in Las Vegas. Donaire faces Gerson Guerrero on February 13th. Dodie Boy Penalosa will still be in his corner but he has added Garcia to his staff. Donaire can't seem to find a stable trainer in anybody. Robert Garcia already has his hands full with Viloria and Luevano for January 2010. I bet his crazy wife has something to do with it.

I think Donaire just found the trainer he's been looking for all along in Robert Garcia. Smart choice! Robert Garcia is 100% dedicated to all of his fighters, he doesn't just train IBF jr. flyweight champ Brian Viloria, WBO featherweight champ Steven Luevano, but also, his brother Miguel Garcia, "Bam Bam" Brandon Rios and Alfonso Gomez, plus they are not all fighting on the same day or even month so he doesn't have his hands full. I'm sure we'll notice a tremendous difference with Robert Garcia added to Team Donaire.
