Is Pacquiao a slick boxer?

No need to talk down to me, it ain't necessary.
Of course I get it. I already said it ain't his style. On that point, you ain't saying nothing I didn't already say.
You say he can't fight like that... based on what? I've watched sparring videos where for short bursts he did nothing but slip punches and employ swift movement to evade barrages of punches. It surprised me because I had never seen him do stuff like that. The guy can box great when he chooses to, there's no doubt about it. Pacquiao chooses to fight in a fan-friendly style, though, he ain't in there to defend and dance around pot-shotting, he comes to take your head off because that's what people enjoy seeing.
That's a sparring video vs a sparring partner. Like I said, he can't use that style at the top level in a fight, he would get outboxed. He uses an aggressive style because that's what best makes use of his speed, power and aggression.
He is a decent boxer who can outbox a lot of fighters, but not the very best, not the guys at the level he fights at.Comment

Manny fights in a slick way to my viewing eye, You dont have to be black and fight in an orthodox stance to be slick, Throwing combo and moving can be called slickness to me, Anyone hanging on to what Mayweather said about Manny been one-dimensional need their head checked, Its like Roach saying Mayweather would be there easiest fight.
Its all part of the fighting game.Comment

Would you also compare Pac's defense to a prime Whitaker's while you're at it?

I know you are not comparing JMM's heart to Mayweather's...
it is true that Mayweather is more talented than JMM, but JMM took a lot of risks and a lot of punishment to accomplish what he did versus Pac. I am not sure that when the going gets rough Mayweather can do the same. Beating Pac will cost a lot of blood... that is just the price to beat him. Will Mayweather rise to the occasion? We will soon see hopefully.Comment
