The State of American Boxing going into 2010...

for those who want to say it's "fading"...

    1. Mayweather - Prime.

    2. Mosley - Old, but still a Force.

    3. Hopkins - Old, but still a Force.

    4. Dawson - Not even Prime yet.

    5. Ward - Not even Prime yet.

    6. Bradley - Not even Prime yet.

    7. Pavlik - Prime.

    8. Williams - Prime.

    9. Guerrero - Not even Prime yet.

    10. Viloria - Prime.

    11. Cunningham - Prime.

    12. Berto - Not even Prime yet.

    13. Dirrell - Not even Prime yet.

    14. Alexander - Green Talent.

    15. Cloud - Green Talent.

    16. Jacobs - Green Talent.

and I could name a few more...but you already know the deal....

It's simply our country's Nature to crank out the most talented fighters and Champions of The Sport...when our old lions finally step down, there's ALWAYS a fresh crop of young ones ready to step up and replace them...

So The State is Status Quo....The Usual....as in...America IS Boxing. We OWN it.

    Forever and Ever AMEN.

        I scored that fight 7 to 5 Martinez...so I can't label it a "robbery"...

That English Decision Froch received over Dirrell....now THAT...was a robbery.

Did they ever release the punch stats for that one?

I've never been nationalistic about boxing. I just enjoy good fighters and good fights, regardless of the fighter's origin and location. My fav fighters are a multi-national mix:

            Paul Williams
            Wlad Klitschko
            Manny Pacquaio
            Tomas Adamek
            Allen Green
            et al....

mayweather would likely retire next year.. I think ward is the going to be the face of american boxing in the years to come.. dawson is good but his style is just boring.. Dont know how kirkland's gonna look he's arguably the most exciting to watch..

In your opinion, after the top 3 are gone. Do you see any of the rest getting even close to the status of the top 3?
