WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik is pushing for a shot at Paul Williams. Injuries and failed negotaitions have pushed the fight back for nearly two years. There had been some talk that Pavlik would test the waters at super middleweight but he plans to stay at 160 for the moment. Pavlik should fight both, Sturm & P Will, to make an statement and impact @ MW.
Pavlik should clean out the MW 1st before jumping to SMW, IMO.Comment

Regardless of staph infections and last weekend's performance, I really think he could do it. If there's going to be an undisputed MW champion, I'd like it to be Pavlik.
He's never been great above 160, though. He had that tough rematch with Taylor at a 164 catchweight, and against Hopkins at 170 he was ****. Stick to MW and see off all challengers, I say.Comment

Pavlik does need to fight someone credible though,hope the Punisher gets him 1st!!

Not a bad fight to be honest, I doubt the Wiliams fight comes off and am sure Arum isnt too bothered if the fight doesnt happen, He seem to have plan A..B..C..D before even considering williams...shame.Comment

Glad to see Sturm get a big money, high profile fight stateside again if it comes through. He was really tossed aside in the States after he beat Oscar and ruined their B-Hop/Oscar mega money fight.
Oh wait, that's not what happened in the fight. That's what happened, but for some reason it didn't happen. Judges eh.Comment
