Sturm or Martirosyan next for Pavlik?

A friend of mine went to the Pavlik fight and there was much excitement about Freddie Roach's presence. Freddie was taking pictures with fans and whatnot, but once things died down I am told he was taking serious notes on Pavlik.

Freddie has Sturm in his stable. Possible match-up in the future? Or could he possibly see Pavlik as a starting block for Vanes Martirosyan?

    Whatcha think?

I don't think they let Marti in with Pavlik right now...

Sturm is a champion and a good boxer... I think it would be competive until Pavlik starts to land bombs... I don't think that Sturm can keep him at bay enough... Pavlik by KO, IMO

Only that matters at 160 is Williams vs. Pavlik.

To Williams fans, yes. To the rest of the world, Sturm or Martirosyan would be great fights.

Don't get me wrong, I want to see Williams/Pav just as bad as you, I'm just not gonna hold my breath. If either of those two bring in more cash than Williams you can bet Williams is going to continue to be the most avoided man in boxing for at least one more fight.

I'd give Martirosyan a better chance than Sturm honestly. Guy seems like a beast. At the same time I constantly underestimate Pavlik, so who knows! Either way, Roach is looking for something and those are the only two fighters I can figure he's doing research for.

Even the version of Pavlik who showed up against Hopkins would murk Sturm. Hell, absolutely any version of Pavlik makes him look silly. If he can't get Williams next, he should go over to Germany and KO his useless, overprotected Bozzie ass.

            Martirosyan I haven't seen yet.

              Bit harsh on Sturm!

I think it would go the distance. Pavlik wins in America, Sturm in Germany.....

He deserves harshness for that diabolical robbery of Gevor.

Most likely the case, although Pavlik has credible KO power to take it out of the judges' hands if he wants to. Sturm, meanwhile, is pretty much pillow-fisted.

No idea! I'll watch it here in a few and let you know. In my opinion it's always worth it, but then again, I'm downloading it on my office's internet.
