Here's two guys that had some very good success in the last 10 years.
I would say that Winky Wright IS a hall of famer, but Vernon Forrest is not.
Both guys are very talented... I think that Forrest never really put it all together... something always hindered him... I don't know if it were injuries or his mind... but something always was missing. I don't know how his accomplishments rank up against other HoF's. He somehow is a guy like Judah to me... he is better then him but both are talented but somehow never really got it all together.
Winky Wright is a fighter that I always liked and was awkward to fight for most... but he isn't a HoF in my book... he never did anything special... he was the 54 champion and beat Mosley twice but that's it... and I already said that Mosley is pretty much overrated if you really look at his standing in history. He beat Trinidad (after his retirement, not the prime one) and everything else big he lost (Vargas in 99 I believe, Taylor Draw, Hokpins and Williams losses)
I will say that if it were up to me then only the true elite would make it. The same goes for every sport. I think its dumb that all these pro sports let these guys who are good but nothing special into the HOF. I was watching a guy talking about baseball one day and I think they were talking about Jeff Bagwell being in the HOF and I think most of them said he is. Then one guy said he thinks there should be a HOF and an Hall of Very Good. He said just think about Mickey Mantel and then Jeff Bagwell. He was like, come on now. These guys shouldnt be put in the same catagory and he thinks the HOF should only be reserved for the best of the best like Mantle
