Yes i saw that......but not a major shock. One of the reasons i thought Pac would win was that Cotto's corner was not up to par or even close to the Pac corner. Also they didnt do a good job with Cotto's face- they put alot of vasoline but not enough cold compressant on him. The fact is that i think economics has alot to do with it. i use to work with the cousin who use to be Cotto's promoter who also worked with Trinidad, Daniel Santos, Juan Manuel Lopez. Cotto pretty much bought himself out of the contract to sign with Top rank and arum. Cotto actually did visit the law office before i had worked there. But i am sure if Cotto got a big name trainer like the names you mentioned he wouldnt like to have a bigger portion of his purse taken away.

Well it sounds like Cotto only wants two more fights. So really if he fights guys like Foreman or Spinks at 154 he wont see any reason to change trainers and give up any more of his purse as he wants to leave the sport with as much money as possible

All the opposing trainers always underrate PAC's capabilities. Nacho's done the same thing. I remember him telling Juanita or was it De La Joto " he trips, he doesn't know what to do" Beristain was referring to PAC's balance, but in reality, that bad balance is actually kind of deceptive, that's what throws many PAC opponents off. He appears out of balance when he's not and next thing you know you're seeing stars!!

It was 1 sided enuf that no trainer woulda made a difference.

Situations like that you gotta put on the fighter.
