Paul Williams will have multiple opportunities to get knocked out vs. Pavlik

Kelly has power in both hands. If Paul want's to stand at a distance, the straight right will find a home on Pauls shaky defense. Paul doesn't give angles, he's pretty much back and forth from what I've seen.

If he leans over, which he DOES do, the Pavlik uppercut(a punch which looks like he is just starting to really utilize) can find a home.

If he leaves his body exposed, Kelly will hit it.

Not to mention Kelly has left and right overhands which he would be more than happy to throw.

On top of all this, I believe Kelly's defense against guys who throw long, wide punches like Paul, is pretty solid. See Miranda and the Taylor fights post round II of the the first fight.

Paul will land on Kelly, and probably land more often. But Kelly throws anywhere from 75-100 shots per round. The difference is when Kelly hits Paul, Paul will go to sleep.

Let's all hope we get this fight in the first quarter of 2010. I think Pavlik is back and he wants to put on good fights.

Lucian Bute KO'S pavlik at 168 or a 166 catchweight, Martinez KO's Pavlik at 160. Paul Williams Decisions Pavlik at 160.

Bute beats Pavlik. I agree. He isn't ready for 168 and I think he shouldn't even consider moving up to face anyone there until he fights a little more at 160.

Martinez doesn't KO Pavlik, and I believe the fight would be close. At this point too close to call. But Kelly is capable of a KO vs. anyone at 160, and Martinez would be another fighter who's never felt that kinda power.

Like I said about PWill, he just doesn't stand up to Kelly's power. He loses

One note on Kelly moving up: Kelly is capable of dominating at 160 because of his power. But he lacks a good corner man and fitness coach, and he will not be able to get by on power alone at 168, so if and when he does decide to move up, he will need to rethink his fitness preparation, and he will need an experienced trainer. Jack Lowe is not capable of taking Kelly to elite status at 168, the Hopkins fight made that clear. Even if Kelly wasn't 100% for that fight, Lowe was lost when Kelly was in that ring. Hopefully someone on his team will suggest this to him.
