Andre Ward at heavyweight?

Probably not. Rather his knowledge is in medicine and drugs. Given Wards heavy reliance in BALCO CEO Victor Conte I'd say anything is possible. Conte was always a step ahead.Comment

I didn't see this posted... It sounds crazy, but Virgil Hunter supports his points strongly. (so don't respond after just reading the title...) Dre would really have to fill into that weight (I don't think he could get to 215 anyways)
Virgil Hunter seems to know his stuff. I just don't think Andre Ward could be heavy weight champ though. I could see him beating Haye maybe... but a real heavyweight like Chris Arreola would murder him.

well least we forget....adamek got outboxed by Dawson not too long ago. I also feel ward is a better fighter that could not only do what Chad did but in better fashion against adamek.Comment

1) No, ******
2) what i said is untrue? Ward could bulk up and have the strength, punch, & chin to compete with Boytsov? clown
I really don't think Adamek would struggle with boxers & or slick fighters like people claim due to his performance vs Dawson.
And in terms of Ward vs Adamek lol Adamek is alot bigger than Ward could get, stonger than Ward could ever be, and his chin & punch are light years better from an innate sense. Even if that wasn't the case i don't see a style problem like i mentioned.
But if you want to grasp onto Ward as your American Heavyweight hope by all means go aheadComment

F**king ridiculous, his chin wouldn't stand up any of the top heavies. He would look like the freaking marshmallow man if he moved up to heavyweight. Ward wouldn't even beat Cunningham at cruiserweight or Dawson at LHW, let alone beating any of the top contenders at HW.
Eddie Chambers is considered a small heavyweight, and Ward is much smaller than Chambers. His power wouldn't carry to HW, he probably can't even make 200lbs, he would lose a tremendous amount of speed which is his strength. Some people really need to use common sense.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 12-21-2009, 06:13 AM.Comment

Men dont fully develop muscle maturity until late 20s...26,27,28.... and some Men do have the genetics to still be growing vertically until that time also... depends on the person & their genes. Look towards your father and grandfathers to see how you willl develop.
I do agree Andre most likely wont be a HW. Though he is 6'1 his frame isnt that big to compete with the super hw's imo.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 12-22-2009, 04:17 AM.Comment
