Rumor has it that he retired to give his hands a rest. No point in the fight happening now though.

Watch Hatton, his at third place. He low blows, rabbit punches, elbows and Head-butts Kosta tzyu, without a home town ref he should of been looking at a dq. And this is his biggest win, a fight which he needed to cheat to win.

Floyd ducks Shane. No matter how you spin it... it is a fact. Just because Shane and Floyd couldn't agree on a date to fight, that doesn't give Mayweather the right to dismiss the fight forever. They are natural rivals, they should be on their third fight by now.

Shane only has himself to blame really, I hope the fight does eventually happen . I can see Floyd beating him by a ud. Shane doesn't have the legs anymore to chase Floyd around the ring.

Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto in 2007/8, when he was supposed to fight one of them to defend the RING belt. He promised a fight to Margarito and Cotto called him out.
He should have either fought Margarito in 2008 or Cotto in 2007 after he beat De La Hoya.

Now we know that Margarito probably cheated against Cotto and that Mosley whooped his butt, Mayweather could have fought him in 2009. But fighting Pacquiao instead isn't a ***** move, it's the big money fight everybody wants. So i don't accuse him of ducking Shane Mosley whose career was on a limbo after the Cotto loss and a very lackluster fight against shot Mayorga. The Margarito fight is the only reason why people wanted to see that fight.

If Mosley kills Berto, i think Floyd will probably gives him his shot, if he can beat Pacquiao. With that said Berto is better than people think, an upset is very possible.

imo he ducked shane & margarito. Anytime you make the excusses that he has made not to make the fight happen it is a duck. Marg don't have any excusses & shane took his fam on vacation. If floyd wanted the fight he wouldvs manned up. Just like when hatton ppl turned down a fight years later they made it happen. Why can't floyd do the same with shane?

                  Shane Mosley

Any other name is bull**** if you ask me...

He fought Baldomir instead of Margarito...fought Hatton instead of Cotto...and stayed retired when Shane was calling his name...

I only fault him for not fighting Miguel personally...
                  see burner's post....

there was never an offer made to fight cotto, and cotto has never said he wanted mayweather either....it's always, "i fights who my people tell me to fight..."

so fault him for not taking a fight that was never being discussed if you want too...

instead of margarito, he did fight baldomir, the champ, for 10 million....but even during that time floyd and arum weren't on good terms, which adds to the rationale of him not fighting margarito.....

as for shane, he's called out shane numerous times in the past, and shane never wanted to fight him, in fact, gave excuses every time....that's why it drives me crazy to hear idiots come on here and post, "floyd is ducking shane," or "floyd's scared of shane." right....

he wanted to fight a prime shane numerous times, and now that shane is 38, going on 39, he's afraid to fight him??? do you idiots even think before you post?

classic example: somebody, and i'm not calling out names, posted in this thread that mayweather ducked shane because shane called him out while he was RETIRED, and mayweather didn't come out of retirement to fight shane...
