Resumewise chavez edges it, prime for prime, Chavez takes whatever Manny dishes out and stops him late in a war.

Manny is great, but a prime JC was a monster, i don't think manny would go the distance with a prime JCC... Julio was a trememdous body puncher, with a granite chin (the best chin in history from my view point) manny would give him little trouble and would be Ko'ed in 6.

as to who is greater, well this are different eras, i think the 80s amd 90s where a lot better than now, but people may say ''well chavez only fought taxi drivers'' and people may say ''Manny only beat an old Barrera, and old Morales (who actually beat manny in their first fight) and and super old Oscar'' so it depends on who you ask.

i believe that Chavez was much better in every department except speed, but to me stylewise and skillwise chavez was much much better

          Chavez is greater

At one time I belived, J.C. Chavez would be the clear winner in this match up. Now I think Manny has proven himself enough to make it competitive.

i got my boy chavez. i grew up watching him in the 80's and 90's and remember how crazy it would get when he was in town, and the early ppv's you'd have a hundred drunk mexicans in a little house, it was a huge event to watch a jcc fight. but pac is basically the same, so it comes down to who ya like.
