    m00ks's 2 cents -Post MAB-EM 3

Wow! what a fight. I was too drunk for my own good but I bared witnessed to what should be the fight of the year. I gave MAB a fraction of a chance in beating EM. I'm am extatic that he proved me wrong and my love for boxing just grew even more.

EM was waaay tooo slow to begin with. That being said I never expected for MAB to be as quik as he was. That was Barrera's perfect fight. EM was waaay too overconfident and MAB took advantage. From the first round on MAB had something to prove. I think RJJ said it right when he pointed out that EM looked liked a fighter that didn't wanna be there and had no reason to. MAB had something to prove and that heart of his is what defeated Morales.

Barrera's left hook looked phenomenal. To be able to follow up a left hook with a left uppercut demands true skill. His right was doing equal amount of damage. The guy answered every shot EM threw and never backed down.

    Whats next?
EM is far from finished. Although his plans of going up to 135 has been completely derailed he just learned a valuble lesson. You cannot take any fighter for granted or what they are capable of specially a great champion like Marco Antonio Barrera. He needs to establish his name now more than ever in his next fight.
As for Barrera, he will surely look for a rematch against Pacquiao should he prevail against Marquez. If this happens however, call me biased, but I'd still have to pick Pacquiao. In the words of RJJ when asked about what would happen with a rematch against Pac, "I dunno, Pacquiao's as quick as I dunno what..." but it should be another war between two great fighters.

Great win for MAB. Proved to everyone he is not done and is here to stay and that's always good news to every boxing fan out there...

I think with MAB's win its getting more interesting at 122-130 from jr fW to Super fW, i think paths of the great fighters of these weight division will criss cross and time will tell who will be left standing....

Congratulation MAB, you prove your critics wrong and you can call PAC to get your revenge, and Manny will be more than willing specially you have more belts now, he he he...

I was also impressed with MAB's left-hook to the body, left upper cut then right straight combo. Plus the way he shook off that big right straight from Morales forgot the exact round it happened. He looked rather slow to me though.

      Pacquiao-Barrera 2!!!

      after

      Pacquiao-Marquez 2.

Well, Barrera just defied the odds and certainly my pick was wrong. Now this has definitely put question on that he really wasn't himself that November night vs Manny. Should a rematch come, he's going to need to train harder than ever because Manny is gonna come back 2x as hard knowing that this has to be proof that the night wasn't just a slip up and that he's the real deal. I would have preferred Manny fighting Morales though who knows. Maybe Barrera just really is hard headed.

Even if Manny loses against JMM I'm sure Barrera would opt for the rematch just to porve it was a slip. Man I'm still so impressed of that performance. ****ing right Morales looked like he was lost. Like "What just happened" lol I love it. Anyweyz, I wonder if MAB would keep camapigning at 130 or would go down now that he is the champ.

I predict that JMM will outbox Pacquiao in february setting up Barrera-Márquez. Then Pacquiao, could get the winner. The thing is that Morales might also be around so he would probably have to face Pacquiao before having the right to face the Barrera-Márquez winner. This would be perfect because everyone would face each other and the last man standing will be the undisputed best.
