Cotto will need to box more, and he needs a better corner and fight plan

The Pac fight actually showed off MAC's stellar boxing skills, at least before he got lured into a shootout. He'll need those skills even more when he fights the bigger guys at JMW. Kermit made the transition against Angulo, it should yield even better results for MAC.

Let's face it, though. MAC is no Floyd who can change his tactics during the fight. He will need a better corner to draft a better fight plan.

      Cotto > Cintron?

      Definitely.

And ff he does things right (gets a new corner, uses his boxing skills more) Cotto should be able to give Cintron his 3rd (should be 4th) KO loss.

i would normally say cotto but right now cintrons power would trouble cotto alot, maybe fight yuri and take the tittle and then fight a average fighter and then take on cintron,i wouldnt like to see cotto take another beating so quick, even though he beat clottey he still took alot of punishment in that fight

cotto can still pick up wins from collazo, berto, but i dont think he can handle today's shane mosley, he barely beat mosley in what shouldve been a draw

I don’t know I love Cotto but he seems so shell shocked even with his last performance. Cintron (though I’m not much of a fan) came off a good win against Angulo and seemed steadily improved with his new corner. Cintron still has the ability to **** which is the last thing Cotto needs in front of him right now.

            Peace.

I see your point but :

                1) Stubbornness is a part of Cotto’s character which led to the breakup of his original corner.

2 He’s content with having friends train him rather than reputable professional trainers take the lead and he hasn’t indicated thus far otherwise of a change, therefore same people yielding the same results.

                3) Blowing up between fights isn’t his only issue it’s his hard partying lifestyle in between fights that has taken away in my opinion is competitive focus to remain elite.

                Peace.
