I know Pavlik isn't the fastest guy but I would imagine Pavlik would be doing the stalking while Williams moves. Eventually Williams is going to have to stand right in front of PAvlik. That is when the fight will get interesting

The problem is it is the punches that Paul won't avoid that are going to knock him out.

when the Pavlik Williams fight gets made, i have Pavlik winning that one on his power. slick? not really the right term to describe Williams. he's a high volume southpaw with reach (that he doesnt use to his adv.) If both Quintana and Martinez can wobble him with shots down the middle then Pavlik will knock Williams out. B-Hop is another story, not every fighter can follow his blueprint. they would have to be as defensively sound as he is, and most are not. Williams does not have great defense. if you don't agree, look at how many times he was caught by Martinez. Martinez wasn't even throwing shots at angles either. he mixed in counters, hooks, as well as uppercuts. Pavlik can box him in his usual pressing style, and when the two fight on the inside he will have the advantage, not Williams. Williams will no longer be the monster he appears to be against Pavlik. Pavlik is a tall lanky dude with long ass arms too. i can't wait.

I heard so much hype about him before the fight and I have to say that after seeing him fight that he is by far one of the most overrated fighters in recent history.
You admit you've only watched Paul fight once and yet you call him one of the most overrated fighters in recent history. That's a ****** comment.

And Williams isn't really slick. He throws a lot of punches and has decent but not great head movement

I didn't see the fight but I also figure I don't need to see a reason why I should be impressed. That was a total bum that Pavlik fought. At least Martinez was a world class fighter and it was on free TV. Man, I'm really turning against Kelly Pavlik and I have been fed up with him for a long time. Regardless of who people think would win between Williams and Pavlik, a Williams win would be ten times better for boxing.

I think Pavlik deserved an easy one after the layoff. But now it's time to step up and defend his title against against someone more worthy. Let's just hope it's sooner than later.
