Rocky is a pretty good puncher, not a massive puncher.

            You know this.

I saw that fight....I HAVE that fight. Chavez shows himself very brave, always, but basically a mauler and slugger, with very few real boxing skills. My recollection of that fight was that he pressed Mayweather very hard, and it was a good fight.

Do I recall correctly in thinking that Chavez injured one of his arms, and for most of that fight he was really "one-handed"??

Or was that a different fight??

Damn, this fight must've turned out to be a lot more competitive than expected. Soto shouldn't have had to go to war with Chavez. The dude has been shot and injury prone for a long time. I need to see Soto stop living off that win over Rocky Juarez before I can say he's an elite fighter. Arum needs to stop throwing him with guys that are overmatched. And Jesus Chavez was on paper.

i think it's hard to really train for a fighter like chavez...i mean he's not champ,he's lost his last two fights,i don't think soto trained as hard for him as he would in a unification fight or a fight against valero..
