I think a Hatton-JMM fight would've been easier for JMM though unless the ref in England totally rigged it. I've got a dab of respect for Cotto, but not much. Lol.

I don't think that JMM is gonna stay at Welterweight. But with JMM trying to get big money fights and getting out I could see this fight materializing even though I'd rather see JMM fight someone else like Bradley.
      haha, Cotto by brutal KO......

Just look at JMM's fight against Juan Diaz.
Cotto will be a lot bigger, tougher and stronger than diaz.

This all that needs to be said. The fight would be a very bad idea for Marquez.

Pacquiao's southpaw stance and in and out style is poison for Cotto. We saw that with Judah and Corley. Two southpaws who rocked Cotto and made him cheat in order to not get KTFO.

Marquez is wide-open for the left hook, which is Cotto's main weapon.

Marquez might have Pacquiao's number, but that is only because he understands Pacquiao. He is flat footed, but he's always just outside Pacquiao's striking distance and never leads with his left. That counter right hand is just waiting for Pacquiao to *** up and it keeps Pacquiao in check and frustrated. He will always give Pacquiao hell no matter what weight class.

Cotto beats JMM, Pac beats Cotto, JMM beats Pac.

JMM loses to Cotto, but it has nothing to do with size.

JMM was smaller, weaker, older, and shorter than Pacquiao, but he out-boxed Pacquiao twice and made him duck a trilogy.

                      Cotto would hurt JMM.
