Calzaghe is the BEST SMW EVER

So he is definite ATG and HOF

He may have a weak resume but at that weight he was the best their ever was

James toney and RJJ didnt stay around long enough at that weight

    look at Calzaghes resume:

10 year plus champ at SMW

Beat Eubank - Ok, he may have been washed up but look Calzaghe beat him for the world title. Many fighters have beaten washed up fighters for their first world title, eg Pryor vs Cervantes

Mario Veit - He was undefeated and Calzaghe deserves credit facing him and ****ing him out in 1

Jeff lacy - We all know about Lacy, Calzaghe = credit

Kessler - Kessler was undefeated, a champ. People discredit this win because of Kesslers recent loss but thats like saying, Mayweather win against Hatton doesnt mean anything because Pacquiao beat him in 2

Hopkins - Calzaghe got the win, it was close but not a robbery. Hopkins was top 3 in the world and Calzaghe got the win.

Jones - Well, another legend and a good name to add but not the fighter.

    Calzaghe = ATG

Calzaghe beat a few legends but you cant discredit that. Marcianos record is full of beating washed up legends, Louis, Charles, Archie moore etc

If Calzaghes isnt a ATG because of his resume, it doesnt make sence. Experts rank Marciano top 3 heavyweight of all time and some top 10 P4P all time...

If you ask me, its probably because hes american and Joes not

This is a very good topic. Also when some fighters lose their 0 it affects them mentally, not everyone is like Pacquiao and can come back stronger. Juan Diaz when he lost his 0 to Campbell, I felt it took something away from him. I felt it affected his confidence. Some fighters like Lacy, Diaz don't want to admit it tho.

Calzaghe is an ATG SMW. A sure fire HOF'er. But, I don't have Joe in my top 100. And, for the record, I don't have Rocky in the top 3 HWs or top 10 P4P eighter. Matter of fact I don't think I have Marciano in the top 50 P4P all time.

I'm ok with saying Zags is a HOF'er...or even an atg,

but y'all get carried away with your **** man...The difference between Floyd and Zags is Floyd CAME BACK.

so the clock is still running.

Calzaghe took himself out of the game. His conquests, Kessler, and Jones, have lost to rookies and journeymen..Bhop is eventually going to take more than he can chew..

And lacy...although that was a good win for Calzaghe, its not like it was epic, because Lacy was never ever, ever "epic"
