Yeah that makes sense. A lot of the people are questioning his resume Now. In 2002 and above a lot of people are saying he has been ducking. Don't get me wrong he fought greats in the past but we're talking about now. JMM maybe #2 P4P but you knew he was coming up as a Fat Slow WW.

I agree with zeidrich. If Mayweather wants to be ATG, he has to fight all comers. What is needed to be ATG? He has to fight legit fighters in HIS weight class- for example, Mosley (before Mosley reach 40), Paul Williams (whether at 147 or 154). Letting other fighters eliminate each other doesnt make you ATG. Mayweather has to fight them himself.

Dont get me wrong, hes a near excellent fighter but I dont think he should be known as an ATG till he wipes out WW.

Yes! and JCC Jr. is an ATG!

but seriously, if you're talking about Floyd, i think he is. He just need to prove more to erase the doubt that he truly is an ATG.

Anyway, what's funny nowadays is that many people act like,

              More PPV Buys = Greatness..

Would Marciano count?..If not then perhaps Mayweather could be.

Well what he did below 140 is why he is an ATG. He is known as the greatest SFW of all time, and did some serious work at 135. But right now he need this pacquaio fight and win it to enhance his legacy, because he is an ATG but Pacquaio is higher on that list due to his resume. I dont care how skilled floyd is, if he hasnt tested them since Castillio that there is no reason to put him higher than pacquaio right now. Pacquaio fought a welterweight that is better than floyd's whole welterweight resume. Now if floyd cleaned out the whole 147 division that everybody know that he is capable of, that there is no question about his ATG status and him being above pacquaio in the list. And that is why floyd has so much haters because when 147 was on fire, he retired and disappointed many hardcore boxing. Because everybody wanted to see floyd vs shane, floyd vs cotto, floyd vs paul williams, floyd vs margarito....but he left the fight and then came back and fought marquez. But then Pacquaio took the spot light and destroyed Cotto, Hatton and Oscar and which force floyd to fight pacqauo, because he has 0 excuse on why he should not fight pacquaio now. Pacquaio has the draw, the resume, p4p #1, fighter of the decade, and many many people believe Pacquaio is great than floyd, to the point that floyd wants to prove the media wrong that he is still the greater fighter.

To me I dont want to see two of my favorite fighters fighting, but I do want to watch a great fight and i know pacquaio will make this fight competitive. i just hope none of them get hurt.

Floyd is an ATG but not because he has no losses. Let's say Mayweather loses this fight in a great war; then there is a rematch which is another great war and finally there is a rubber match. Imagine that Mayweather wins the third and this trilogy goes down in history as one of the best match-ups of all-time and we proudly say to our kids and grandkids "we were there."

Does the fact that Mayweather now have a loss diminish him. No f**king way. SRR was defeated. He's an ATG. So to was Joe Louis, Ali, Henry Armstrong and numerous others.
