his fight with marquez he was knocked out and his fights with malignaggi..he arguably lost both fights but officially is 1-1 against malignaggi. just thought it was weird seeing a fighter regarded as world class being 1-2 in a year and arguably 0-3

Yeah, it really hasn't been a great 2 years for Diaz since the Campbell schooling. The last time he won convincingly was against Katsidis, and even that was competitive. -

prior to the campbell fight, i really thought juan diaz was the ****. despite the lack of power, he made up for it with non-stop punching and boxing skills. he made quality fighters like acelino freitas and julio diaz quit. he was also one of the most exciting fighters in boxing.
he called out pacquiao twice during his post-fight interviews and i was convinced he'd beat pac because of his size (pac was 130 lbs at that time) and relentless pressure.
in short, he isn't who we thought he was.Comment

He should have been able to beat Paulie, I think the Campbell fight took a bit out of him and then Marquez ruined him.
I remember when people kept saying he would KO Manny and this and that. Weird home quickly some fighters fall.Comment

That's what happen when you step up against world class opposition, regardless of how good you are yourself... props to baby bull for taking fights like Marquez - Paulie i think is just a bad stylistic match-up for him
Hopefully he can get down in weight again, rededicate himself, and get back in the running for a title... he's still quite young and it's possible we can see a lot more good things from him in futureComment
