Kevin McIntyre takes on Manchester’s Mark Thompson in Altrincham next month in a British welterweight title eliminator; the Paisley man believes that a win over Thompson would be a perfect way to start 2010. Kevin, 31, lost won the British title by out-pointing Kevin Anderson in 2007; he then repeated the trick only to lose the title due to inactivity. Upon returning, McIntyre was given a shot at Kell Brook, who succeeded him as title holder, only to be blown away in 120 seconds by the red-hot youngster.

Good hope he gets another shot .He's a good domestic fighter I think. I just think Brook's a on a different level .I think he'd give anyone else in the British welterweight rankings problems . I put a tenner on him on the Anderson fight .He was a 7/1 underdog and I got 75 quid back.
